Roam the Neighborhood

Bloggers love to chat and to connect with other bloggers. The best way to do that, is to partake in a few of the numerous weekly and monthly features / memes. Here's my favorite ones.

By clicking on the Graphics, you will be directed to all related posts.
Top Ten Tuesday is easily the most popular weekly feature on the blogosphere. It used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but the lovely Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl is now doing the honors. Every week they post a 'Top Ten' prompt and everyone is welcome to join.

I have been nudging my Mommy to start a feature where I can simply quince my curiosity. I'm a cat and therefore, I am very inquisitive. Not to such a degree that it might kill me, but one never knows. I always have lots of questions and things that I wonder about and it normally starts with The Sunday Post. But by the next Sunday, we've forgotten all about it. Sometimes I am curious about a book that we see featured everywhere, sometimes about a movie or a show and sometimes just about random things that pop up in everyone's discussions. We don't normally have time for all those lovely, long discussion posts, but maybe on this Curious Tuesday feature, we can also lay an egg or two every once in a while.

Hosted by yours truly. Still in it's baby shoes and we'll see if maybe it can become a link-up. For now, I'm just happy to share words of wisdom from the books that I love.

This fun weekly meme was originally hosted by Kathy @  Bermuda Onion Blog. But Kathy took a bit of a break and as from January 2021, Wondrous Words Wednesday is hosted by yours truly. Ever wondered about the meaning of some words? Hop by and tickle your curiosity.

There are so many spins on the idea of Throwback Thursday, but I still like Davida@ The Chocolate Lady's Book Reviews idea the most. We also link up with Carole's Random Life in Books for Books from the Backlog.

Previously known as Friday Meets. You will still find a couple of posts under that label. For this weekly Friday feature, we join up with Freda over at Freda's Voice for the Friday 56. Go to page 56  in your book (yes, any book!) or 56% on your device and share a snippet with us. We also join Gilion at Rose City Reader for Book Beginnings. That feature is rather self explanatory. Lastly, we meet up Lynn at Lynn's Books for the Friday Face-off. This is a change to share all the different covers of a book and pick your favorite one.

For this Friday meme, we link up with  Connect Five hosted by the BookDateConnect Five is really very easy, just pick 5 books that are connected in some or other way. Theme, cover, genre, author - you name it.

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This is a post to recap the past week on your blog, tell everyone about books and things you can showcase and share news for the upcoming week. Remember to link your post and to visit others who have linked up. You can also link up with Deb for The Sunday Salon to tell us more about your week in general. To showcase all you new books acquired, you can link up with Tynga's Reviews.

On the first Saturday of every month, a book is chosen as a starting point and linked to six other books to form a chain. Books can be linked in obvious ways, for example: same authors, same era or genre, or books with similar themes or settings. Or you might choose to link them in more personal ways: books you read in the same holiday, books given to you by a particular friend or books that remind you of a particular time in your life. The choices are endless here! It's hosted by Books are my favourite and best

We love hearing from you and if you talk to me, I'll purr back as soon as possible. Sometimes I take a cat nap and it might take a couple of hours or days, but never fear - the cat always comes back.
