Renewal. Revitalized. Reborn. I have never felt this as strongly as I have this year.

Bunnies that deliver chocolate eggs? Yes, it seems like a stretch. And I agree with Elza that the image of a lovely kitten with a huge basket of chocolate seems much more delightful. It's probably a team of talented kittens who do the actual cooking and decorating, don't you think? Easter is just one of those holidays and words I have always taken for granted, and although I of course know about the religious aspects of the crucifixion and resurrection, I have never really given the actual word 'Easter' much thought.

Thanks for the excellent research and explanation of the word, although I also struggle with the concept of the Easter bunny and chocolate eggs and have no idea how parents go about explaining it to their children! Here in the UK, we also have quite a big emphasis on Easter chicks, which does tie in with the whole egg concept a whole lot better, but then around this holiday time there are a lot of 'duck races' taking place (the plastic variety, not the real thing) and then I am lost again - what has a duck got to do with Easter?

It's all very confusing for my poor little brain, just bring on the chocolate eggs and we'll call it quits! :) :)Yvonne @ Fiction Books Reviewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14821114534056290177noreply@blogger.com
